A proven advocate, Shanon serves as a Vice-Chair nationally on the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Green Municipal Fund Council and chairs the Canadian Urban Transit Association-Transit Board Members Committee.
Honoured as a finalist for the Regina YWCA Women of Distinction Awards, a Canada Clean50 nominee, and a Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal recipient, Shanon holds a Master’s in Environmental Studies and a Bachelor’s in Journalism. She has held senior roles with local organizations such as Wascana Solar Co-op and REACH.
